The 3rd annual Fireplace Facelift Contest is Underway

Fireside Hearth & Home is once again conducting a contest to create a dream fireplace for one lucky Minnesota family. And this year’s contest is bigger and better than ever – in addition to a new fireplace, the winner will receive $3000 worth of furniture for the room! The total prize value will be $8,000, including:

• A $5,000 fireplace “facelift” for a drafty old fireplace, or a new fireplace where one did not exist before

• Furniture valued at $3,000 from the Fireside Hearth & Home collection

• A free consultation with a design consultant from Fireside Hearth & Home

“We want to show Minnesotans how a fireplace makeover can transform an entire living space,” said Curt Strait, manager of marketing and retail development for Fireside Hearth & Home. “Today’s fireplaces, whether fueled by gas, electricity, wood or pellets, are much more efficient than the fireplaces of yesteryear. We can turn a previously unused, drafty room into a warm and cozy space where everyone wants to be in your home.”

Entering the contest is easy and takes only a few minutes. Homeowners submit two things: 1) A “before” photograph of the old fireplace or the room where you would like to have a fireplace; and 2) A short statement about why you’d like a new fireplace and any ideas you have for creating your dream room.

Entries may be submitted online at www.fireplacefacelift.com, or may be mailed in or dropped off at Fireside Hearth & Home stores in Eagan, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Maple Grove, Roseville, Becker and Waite Park. Entries will be accepted through March 15, 2009, and the winning homeowner will be announced by April 1, 2009.
